Field Technician

Department: Systems | Location: Tucson | Reports to: Stuart Pieloch | Full-time | Exempt

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Key job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.
  • Programming of lighting control systems and perform end-user training.
  • Advise systems integrators on system design.
  • Evaluate project site conditions and status.
  • Learn about lighting control offerings on a continual basis.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties. The qualities below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

  • The ability to read and understand schematics and electrical floor plan drawings.
  • Self-motivated, but able to collaborate with others.
  • Interpersonal, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Background in Theatre or Electrical Construction Industries.
  • Safe practices when dealing with voltage.
  • Lighting and/or Electrical Experience preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Adobe Pro/Bluebeam and Outlook.
  • Strong written and verbal skills in responding to client needs with a positive and professional manner.
  • Must be able to exchange detailed information with co-workers, clients, and vendors concisely and must have a firm grasp of the English language.
  • This role requires a flexible team player who strives for continuous improvement with a positive, energetic personality and work ethic to meet the needs of this client-driven business.
  • This position requires driving a personal vehicle on behalf of the company; therefore, the candidate must successfully complete a motor vehicle history check, possess, and maintain a current, valid driver’s license, and self-report any convictions.
